Police: Gang-Related Shooting into Gilroy Home

Shots were fired into a home containing at least eight people early Wednesday morning.

On Nov. 28 at approximately 12:14 a.m., Gilroy Police officers were dispatched to the area of 10th Street and Glenview Drive regarding multiple gunshots heard in the area.

During the course of the investigation, officers determined that unknown suspects had discharged an unknown type of firearm within the 6900 block of Glenview Drive. The suspect(s) shot an unoccupied vehicle parked on the roadway and fired at least one round into an occupied residence.

The residence was occupied by no less than 8 people when the shooting occurred. The victims' names are being withheld, however the victims were male and female and their ages ranged from 4-months-old to 46-years-old. 

Based on victim and witness statements, it is believed that this crime is gang-motivated.

Shortly after the shooting, an early 1990s red Honda Civic, hatch-back, was seen leaving the area southbound on Glenview Drive. It is believed that this vehicle is associated to the shooting suspects.
