Police Ask Owner to Claim Found Jewelry

A jewelry box and multiple pieces of jewelry were found and turned into the police. It hasn't been determined that the items were stolen.

A citizen found a jewelry box with multiple pieces of jewelry that were in a black computer case near the bridge in the 9000 block of Church Street, according to a prepared statement by the Gilroy Police Department.

A broken jewelry box was also found on Tuesday, although police haven't been able to confirm whether any of the items were stolen or simply disposed of.

"At this time, the Gilroy Police Department is unable to identify any theft victims who may have had the pictured jewelry stolen from them," Sgt. Chad Gallacinao wrote in the statement.
