A look at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's arrests and booking reports for Aug. 13-15, 2012. The following arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Vehicle Code Violations

  • Jennifer Toy, 38, of San Francisco, Aug. 13, 10:45 a.m., at Highway 280 and De Anza Boulevard in Cupertino, for failing to provide financial evidence of responsibility for vehicle, exceeding the 65 mph speed limit and misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
  • Desmond Howard, 24, of San Bruno, Aug. 11, 9 a.m., at Wolfe and Highway 280 in Cupertino, for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
  • Brandy Freeman, 24, of San Jose, Aug. 12, 11 a.m., at Saratoga Avenue and Lawrence Expressway in Saratoga, for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked, failing to provide financial evidence of responsibility for vehicle and tabs not attached to rear plate.
  • Nancy Carrizales, 38, of San Jose, Aug. 10, 5:25 a.m., at Fruitvale Avenue and San Marcos Road in Saratoga, for violation of child seat restraint, failing to provide financial evidence of responsibility for vehicle and misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
  • Abraham Garcia, 29, of San Jose, Aug 6, 7:45 a.m., at Bubb Road in Cupertino, for an infraction due to lighting equipment requirement and misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
  • Henry Martinez, 52, of Hayward, Aug. 14, 10:15 a.m., at the Santa Clara County Courthouse in Palo Alto, 270 Grant Ave., for misdemeanor drivign with privileges suspended or revoked.
  • Eudaldo Magana, 57, of Sunnyvale, May 11, 2011, 6:30 p.m., at Barrett and Murphy avenues in Morgan Hill, for misdemeanor suspended license, failure to have lighting equipment of required type, driving with privileges suspended or revoked and failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility of vehicle.
  • Jorge Sanchez, 34, of San Jose, July 10, 12 noon, at Homestead and De Anza Boulevard in Cupertino, for an infraction for not wearing seat belt and misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
  • Devon Warren, 20, of Cupertino, Aug. 2, 3:29 p.m., at Loree and Calvert in Cupertino, for infractions related to being an unlicensed driver, possession of open container while driving and failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility of vehicle.
  • Chad Heskett, 26, of Campbell, June 29, 10:47 p.m., at Quito Road and Cox Avenue in Saratoga, for citations related to an expired registratin and driving with privileges suspended or revoked.

Hit-And-Run

  • Frances Odoms, 79, of Gilroy, Aug. 14, 4:29 p.m., at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, 55 W. Younger Ave. in San Jose, for misdemeanor hit-and-run.

DUI

  • Carlos Montoya, 41, of San Jose, Aug. 14, 9:20 p.m., on Highways 17 and 9 in Los Gatos, for misdemeanor DUI and driving under the influence. Bail set at $10,000.
  • Alisha Bandanza, 28, of Gilroy, Aug. 15, 3 p.m., at the South County Courthouse in Morgan Hill, for DUI.

Possession

  • Maricruz Rivera, 36, of Gilroy, Aug. 13, 11:26 p.m., at Monterey Highway in Gilroy, for misdemeanor unlawful possession of paraphernalia, using/being under the influence of a controlled substance, felony bringing narcotics/alcohol, etc. into prison/jail and misdemeanor violation of protective order. Bail set at $25,000.
  • Vladislav Manuylov, 21, of Sunnyvale, Aug. 14, 3:15 p.m., at Homestead Road in Cupertino, for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and possession of concentrated cannabis.
  • Arnold Fonseca, 29, of Santa Cruz, Aug. 15, 12:05 p.m., at the Santa Cruz County Jail, for felony possession of narcotics/controlled substance and misdemeanor using/being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail set at $80,000.

  • Jeffrey Barbee, 31, of Gilroy, Aug. 14, 1:40 p.m. at the Santa Rita Jail, for misdemeanor battery against spouse/cohabitant or fiance. Bail set at $10,000.
  • Edward Steakley, 43, of Cupertino, Aug. 14, 9:50 p.m. at 19081 Barnhart Ave. in Cupertino, for misdemeanor battery on former spouse, fiance or cohabitant. Bail set at $10,000.

Parole Hold

  • April Schanding, 28, of Gilroy, Aug. 14, 4:15 p.m., at Foothill Avenue and Robin Court in San martin, for felony parole hold. 

Fugitive From Justice

  • Stephanie Pena, 18, of Gilroy, Aug. 15, 10:40 a.m., at 1st Street and Santa Clara in San Jose, for felony fugitive from justice, warrantless arrest.

Appropriation of Lost Property

  • Hector Gutierrez, 28, of Hollister, Aug. 15, 3:30 p.m., at Monterrey and Ronan Avenue in Gilroy, for misdemeanor re-arrest/revocation probation and appropriation of lost property.
