Sheriff's Arrests: Attempted Murder, Criminal Threats

Vandalism

  • Brent Wittler, 22, of Mountain View, April 20, 6 p.m., at Highway 85 and Phar Lap in Cupertino, for possession of a graft device and vandalism damage of between $5,000 and $50,000.
  • Alejandro Solis, 31, of Cupertino, April 20, 6:10 p.m., at Highway 85 and Phar Lap in Cupertino, for possession of a graf device and vandalism damage of between $5,000 and $50,000.

Criminal Threats

Burton Vigil, 25, of Morgan Hill, May 30, 12 p.m., at 150 W. Hedding St. and San Pedro in San Jose, for threatening to commit crime resulting in death.

Causing Fire of Property

Philip Tran, 23, of Saratoga, May 25, 11 a.m., at Lumbertown and Haymeadow in Saratoga, for causing fire of property.

Hit-And-Run

Christopher Faxon, 21, of Santa Clara, Oct. 27, 2011, 6:30 a.m., at Prospect Road and Scully Avenue in Saratoga, for hit-and-run.

Jaywalking

Genevieve Maldonado, 34, of Morgan Hill, May 30, 1:05 a.m., at Foothill and Church in Gilroy, for jaywalking and using/being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail set at $50,000.

DUI

  • Yichen Wang, 23, of Santa Clara, May 31, 2:40 a.m., at Blue Hill and De Anza Boulevard in Cupertino, for DUI and driving under the influence. Bail set at $5,000.
  • Christopher Picetti, 20, of Cupertino, May 31, 1:40 p.m., at 11557 Upland Ct., in Cupertino, for driving under the influence, being a minor under 21 and charged with a minor and being a minor with a blood alcohol level of 0.05 percent or higher. Bail set at $10,000.

Attempted Murder

Richard Velasquez, 27, of Gilroy, May 30, 10:45 p.m., at 11835 Foothill Ave. in San Martin, for attempted murder.

Parole Hold

Marica Barba, 22, of Gilroy, May 31, 8:45 a.m., at So. Bascom and Moorpark avenues in San Jose, for parole hold and giving a false name to a peace officer.

Grand Theft

Matthew Bowers, 22, of Campbell, May 31, 3:30 p.m., at 1461 W. Campbell Ave. and San Tomas Aquino Road in Campbell, for grand theft by employee. Bail set at $10,000.

Petty Theft

Jacob Lanfranco, 27, of Milpitas, May 31, 11 a.m., 200 W. Hedding St. in San Jose, for petty theft of personal property/larceny.

Criminal Threats

Lynley Hogan, 44, of Los Gatos, May 31, 5:10 p.m., at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, 55 W. Younger Ave., San Jose, for threatening to commit a crime resulting in death.

Possession

Sarah Lawson, 24, of San Jose, May 31, 9 p.m., at Highway 280 and De Anza Boulevard in Cupertino, for possession of a controlled substance and re-arrest, probation violation.

Vehicle Code Violations

Lena Lee, 24, of Santa Clara, May 25, 10:24 p.m., at Stevens Creek Boulevard and Finch Avenue in Cupertino, for driving with a suspended license and driving with privileges suspended or revoked.

Under the Influence

Steven Winget, 26, of Cupertino, May 31, 2:50 p.m., at Stelling Road and Alles in Cupertino, for using/being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail set at $5,000.
