Possession of Dirk/Dagger

Pete Felix, 18, of Santa Clara, 11:50 p.m., at Saratoga Avenue and Colombo Drive in San Jose, for felony possession of a concealed dirk or dagger. Bail set at $10,000.

  • Adam Vesely, 45, of San Jose, 1:20 a.m., at Auzerais and Gifford avenues in San Jose, for two warrant misdemeanors related to possession of paraphernalia and 28.5 grams, or an ounce of marijuana. Bail set at $6,000.
  • Gary Bailey, 50, of San Jose, 9:30 a.m., at the _Santa Clara County Superior Court, Dept. 65, 115 Terraine St. in San Jose_, for five misdemeanor and felony charges related to possession of a controlled substance/paraphernalia and using or being under the influence.
  • Vicente Hernandez, 19, of Sunnyvale, 10:25 a.m., at the Santa Clara County Superior Court, Dept. 65, 115 Terraine St. in San Jose, for two misdemeanors related to possession of 28.5 grams, or an ounce of marijuana and a controlled substance. 
  • Robert French, 48, of San Jose, 12:47 p.m., at 5722 Tucson Drive in San Jose, for possession of a controlled substance for sale, violator for revocation meaning that violation occurred before six months clean time.
  • Mohammed Kadir, 41, of San Mateo, 9:35 a.m., at 270 Grant Ave. in San Jose, for a misdemeanor related to possession of a controlled substance and a felony for selling or aiding in selling stolen property.

False Imprisonment/Battery

Rob Guthrie, 36, of San Jose, 12:30 a.m., at 21177 Almaden and Bertram roads in San Jose, for three misdemeanors related to injure telephone/power line, false imprisonment and battery on former spouse, fiancé, or cohabitant. Bail set at $20,000.

Trespass

Louis Montoya, 49, of San Jose, 2:45 p.m., at First Street and Highway 1010 in San Jose, for two misdemeanor warrants related to trespass by entering and occupying and trespass on railroad property.

Fraud

Trudy Maurer, 67, of San Francisco, 8:37 a.m., at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, 55 W. Younger Ave. in San Jose, for nine felony warrants related to preparing a false insurance claim and multiple claims for the same health benefit.

Child Abuse

Jorge Garcia, 30, of Los Banos, 9:45 a.m., at 150 W. Hedding St. in San Jose, for one warrant misdemeanor related to inflicting corporal injury on a child.

Grand Theft

Stephen Avellar, 39, of Santa Cruz, 8:30 a.m., at the Santa Cruz County Jail, for a felony warrant for grand theft of personal property.

Suspended License

Troy Arucan, 20, of San Jose, 1 a.m., arrested Oct. 5, 2011, at White and Story roads in San Jose, for misdemeanor citation related to driving with a suspended license, obstructed view and lack of stop lamps in vehicle.

Under the Influence/Replica Hand Grenade

Jessica Le, 22, 10:30 a.m., of San Jose, at 115 Terraine St. in San Jose, for two misdemeanors related to using or being under the influence of a controlled substance, manufacturing replica hand grenade.

Vehicle Code Violations

Luis Cruz, 42, of Los Banos, 9:45 a.m., 301 Diana at the South County Courthouse in Morgan Hill, for failure to provide evidence of financial responsibility of the vehicle, using a wireless telephone device while driving and driving with a suspended license. Bail set at $5,000.

DUI

Jorge Chavez, 29, of Santa Clara, 11 a.m., at W. Hedding Street and Guadalupe Parkway in San Jose, for driving with a suspended license and with a 0.08 or higher blood alcohol level.

Sex Crimes

  • Edward Rodriguez, 55, of San Jose, 10 a.m., at Coalinga in Orange County, for a felony related to petition for commitment as a violent sexual predator, meaning a person who has been convicted of a sexually violent offense against one or more victims and who has a diagnosed mental disorder that makes the person a danger to the health and safety of others in that it is likely that he or she will engage in sexually violent criminal behavior.
  • Anthony Carlin, 69, a transient, 10 a.m., at Coalinga in Orange County, for a felony related to petition for commitment as a violent sexual predator, meaning a person who has been convicted of a sexually violent offense against one or more victims and who has a diagnosed mental disorder that makes the person a danger to the health and safety of others in that it is likely that he or she will engage in sexually violent criminal behavior.

Under the Influence

Daniel Orta, 30, 1:05 p.m., of San Mateo, at the San Mateo County Jail, for a warrant misdemeanor related to being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance. Bail set at $10,000.

Contempt of Court

Kirk Schmidt, 52, of Brawley, CA, 1:30 p.m., in Orange County, for a civil misdemeanor related to contempt of court. Bail set at $25,000.

Petty Theft

Desiree Montes, 26, of Gilroy, Feb. 27, 2012, 12:45 p.m., at 1st Street and Wren Avenue in Gilroy, for a misdemeanor warrant related to petty theft of personal property.

Burglary

Marle Zaviera, 24, of Oakland, 1:30 p.m., at the Alameda County Jail, for various felonies and misdemeanors related to second degree burglary, robbery, false name to a peace officer, petty theft of personal property, fraudulent use of access card, selling or aiding in selling stolen property.
