Suspect Arrested for Stolen Vehicle, Drug Possession

Antonio Cruz Cid, 38, was arrested early Friday morning for possession of a stolen vehicle, and for possession of methamphetamine and a meth glass pipe, according to the Gilroy Police Department's press report.
Officers were out patrolling the area on Friday at around 3:32 a.m. when they noticed a 2006, red Dodge Ram parked at the National 9 Inn at 5530 Monterey Rd. Police determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen after running the license plate, Sgt. Chad Gallacinao of the Gilroy Police Department said.
Gallacinao said officers contacted the suspected party at the National 9 Inn after a subsequent investigation, where they found him to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Officers further determined that Cid had a non-bailable arrest warrant. The suspect was arrested and booked into county jail.
