Update 5:53 p.m.: Police have arrested a man and a woman after a six-hour stand-off. Details here.

Original Report: Traffic is blocked on a Morgan Hill street this afternoon as a SWAT team responds to an incident in which a man and woman are barricaded in a room at the Morgan Hill Inn, police said.

The standoff began at about 10 a.m. and police SWAT and K-9 units are outside the motel, located at 16250 Monterey St., Morgan Hill police Sgt. Troy Hoefling said.

The street is blocked between Cosmo and Tennant avenues.

Police are unsure whether there are weapons inside the room, Hoefling said.

He said police are still investigating the circumstances of the case but that it does not appear to be a hostage situation.

The hotel is about a mile west of U.S. Highway 101 and south of Dunne Avenue.
