Thousands in Jewelry, Electronics Stolen from Gilroy Home

Over $4,500 in precious items were taken on Monday.

At some point in a nine-hour window on Monday, a house on the 8000 block of Glenview Drive was burglarized of more than $4,500 in jewelry and electronics.

Between 7:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. on Feb. 11, an unknown criminal entered the house through an unlocked window into the living room, Sgt. Pedro Espinoza said.

The person stole $3,425 worth of jewelry as well as a $400 camera, two $200 lenses, a DirecTV satellite box a Blu-ray player and a duffel bag, police reports show.

Espinoza said there is no available suspect information.

In January, a car was stolen on Glenview Drive and last November, police responded to reports of gang-related shots fired into a home on the same street.
