Shell Gas Station and Las Americas Bakery were cited in late September.
Underage stings have been the foe of several Gilroy residents over the last month.
In mid-September, then Interim Fire Chief Roger Bloom was caught buying alcohol for a minor in Santa Cruz. In a statement just released by the Gilroy Police Department, it was revealed that two local businesses sold cigarettes to minors in a sting performed on Sept. 28.

That afternoon, the Shell Gas Station at 850 Pacheco Pass Hwy. and Las Americas Bakery at 7435 Monterey St. allowed 15-year-old decoys to buy the tobacco products. The clerks at both businesses were cited for misdemeanor tobacco sales to minors.
However, of the 26 stores checked in the sting, 24 passed with flying colors, police said.
