The incident followed a brawl near Eighth and Monterey Streets.

A man remains in critical condition after two suspects stabbed him following a brawl early Sunday, according to a press release from the Gilroy Police Department and the Gilroy Fire Department.

Three minors were arrested after reportedly battering a witness to the incident, but the other estimated six group members, including the two stabbing suspects, remain at large, police said.

Police received a report of the stabbing at 2:42 a.m., learning through their initial investigation that approximately nine people were involved in a fight moments earlier near the intersection of East Eighth and Monterey Streets.
