Yearbook Collection Stolen Along With Bicycles

When thieves made off with two bikes locked in a storage cage Tuesday, an unknown number of them also helped themselves to a collection of yearbooks, according to the Gilroy Police Department.

The items were stored on Monterey Street, and the theft was reported at 9 p.m., police said. The suspect or suspects reportedly forced their way into the locked storage cage.

The yearbooks were from Gilroy High School and South Valley Middle School from 1987–90, with an estimated value of $200, police said.

The two bicycles were a $2,000 Cannondale-brand mountain bike and a $300 Redline BMX bike, according to police.
