City Seeks to Fill One Vacancy on Citizens Advisory Committee

Application deadline is January 23 at 5 p.m.

The City of Gilroy opened recruitment for a whole slew of city positions in early November, and now it's looking to fill one vacancy for the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC).

According to the City of Gilroy website, the Citizens Advisory Committee reviews, rates and ranks proposals for nonprofit funding. The reviews are then sent to the city council, which considers any comments or recommendations about which agencies and organizations should receive further funding.

Members of the 11-seat committee serve two-year terms, and all Gilroy residents are welcome to apply. Interested applicants have until January 23 to do so, and applications must be submitted by 5 p.m.

CAC members are required to meet twice in the current funding cycle on February 15 and March 7 at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
