The City of Gilroy is joining with Ronald McDonald House Charities to honor Isabelle Diaz.
Diaz was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Ronald McDonald House Charities recently for her academic achievement and community involvement. The Gilroy City Council on Monday will honor Diaz with a proclamation recognizing her achievements.
"We like to take care of our citizens," Mayor Don Gage said.
The City Council is also proclaiming May 2013 as Foster Care Month.
Also on Monday's agenda are several budget items and the appointment of a member to the Public Art Commission.
