“I want to commend our Senators for working in a bipartisan way in support of this important landmark legislation.  The 'Gang of Eight' remained unified and was able to be successful in the Senate. Now, onto the House of Representatives.

“Let’s make sure California is heard on this important debate. With AJR 3 now in the State Senate, we will soon send Congress a message that California stands unified in a bipartisan way to deliver immigration reform,” said Alejo.

Alejo introduced Assembly Joint Resolution 3 in December 2012 to urge President Barack Obama and Congress to address the issue of Comprehensive Immigration Reform. AJR 3 passed the State Assembly with bipartisan support. The measure will be heard in the State Senate next week.
