Letter: No Sympathy from Left for Erik Holder

Holder is going after medical marijuana operations that are legal under state law and provide needed medicine to people dying of cancer.

Attorney General Eric Holder will get no sympathy from the left because of his policy of going after medical marijuana operations that are legal under state law and provide needed medicine to people dying of cancer.

Although the Republicans voted him in contempt of congress he's also in contempt of state laws.

And while Mr. Holder is going after pot he's letting all the bankers and stock brokers who stole trillions in 2008 get away with it.

I think they should get rid of him for incompetence rather that contempt.

I'm Marc Perkel - and I approve this message!

This is garbage, if you do not like a law, (local, state or federal), don't break it (criminal act) CHANGE it, that is what our country is based on. These clowns that think a laws do not applies to them, unless it is for their benefit, only want anarchy

These are bunch of pot smoking occupy movement good for nothing people. They wants others to work and support them while they just sit and smoke pot.

"This is garbage, if you do not like a law, (local, state or federal), don't break it (criminal act) CHANGE it, that is what our country is based on." Does every single law in our country qualify for this theory? Florida Statute 798.02 "Lewd and lascivious behavior.—If any man and woman, not being married to each other, lewdly and lasciviously associate and cohabit together ….they shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083" The punishment is a $500 fine and 60 days in jail. Do Floridians have an obligation to obey and respect 798.02? Keep in mind that this statute applies to conduct in private. The 2010 census shows that half a million Floridians are living in sin. If you answer no, then you have to admit that your statement is bogus. If you answer yes, then we would have to consider enforcing the law. What about these cohabitating "clowns that think a laws do not applies to them, unless it is for their benefit, only want anarchy"?

You are confusing welfare reform with medical marijuana; they are two separate issues. Keep in mind that "occupy" exists because a bunch of champagne-swilling bankers gambled with their money and were bailed out with OURS. Prove that all marijuana users "just sit and smoke pot". What about admitted marijuana users Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Mayor Bloomberg, and Arnold Schwarzenegger? They're not on welfare.

Did you ever speed? TIA

Holder hasn't charged one banker. But then they only stole a trillion or so.

What's your affinity for laws, conceived, born and nurtured from lies, greed, racism and hate (Nixon) ? Is it that marijuana is illegal or do you feel that it is dangerous?

Allen, as a Parasitic Prohibitionists you dance hand in hand with every possible type of criminal one can imagine. An unholy alliance of ignorance, greed and hate which works to destroy all our hard fought freedoms, wealth and security. We will always have adults who are too immature to responsibly deal with tobacco alcohol, heroin amphetamines, cocaine, various prescription drugs and even food. Our answer to them should always be: "Get a Nanny, and stop turning the government into one for the rest of us!" Many of use want to see an end to prohibition, but not necessarily because we want to use drugs (they are already available to us 24/7 on practically every street corner). No, we wish to see proper legalized regulation because we are witnessing, on a daily basis, the dangers and futility of prohibition. 'Legalized Regulation' won't be the complete answer to all our drug problems, but it'll greatly ameliorate the crime and violence on our streets, and only then can we provide effective education and treatment. The whole nonsense of 'a disaster will happen if we end prohibition' sentiment sums up the delusional 'chicken little' stance of those who foolishly insist on continuing down this blind alley. As if a disaster isn’t already happening? As if prohibition has ever worked? To support prohibition is such a strange mind-set. In fact, It's outrageous insanity! --Literally not one prohibitionist argument survives scrutiny. Not one!

Are you an international criminal? And are you wondering if it’s wise to maintain your affiliation to any one of the estimated sixteen currently-active Mexican Drug Cartels? Maybe you should consider the following information very carefully: As a gesture of good will vis-a-vis cross-border relations, key members of the American Federal Government have recently pledged a solemn oath, declaring their commitment to encouraging people like yourself to increase performance and productivity. In particular, the United States Department of Justice will guarantee that you achieve a respectable level of technology in both military grade weapons and equipment while actively facilitating the laundering of that swirling cascade of cash that a business like yours invariably and continually generates. “For more than three years, I have been privileged to work closely with many of the most ruthless organizations to the south of our border. I am extremely proud of our record of abuse, fraud, waste, misconduct, and treason and I pledge a continuation of all such policies that will further weaken our national security and compromise all honest efforts of law enforcement.”
- Attorney General Holder.

Government's priorities are different and not directed to public welfare anymore. When in public, politicians show as if they really care about the people and the country. We "the fools" continue electing them over and over while they continue screwing up us and the country over and over. The moral of the story is that it doesn't pay to be a fool. It is time to get rid of all old timer senators and members of congress, doesn't matter what party they belong to.
