City Openings for Nine Positions

During the city council's Nov. 7th meeting they'll be motioning to open recruitment for nine city positions ranging from the Planning Commission to the Historic Heritage Commission.

The positions will be for the 2012 term and would be open after Dec. 31, which marks the expiration date of the current city terms. Final applicant selections would take place Dec. 19, and would take effect January 1.

Recruitment would begin Nov. 8 and continue through Dec. 6, with interviews beginning on Dec. 12 during the city council's special meeting.

Two-to-three page fliers about each open position will be posted on the City of Gilroy's website by Tuesday, according to Jenny Knerr from the city clerk's office.

Knerr said the fliers will include a description of each vacancy, a list of what the position entails and the number of openings. Hard copies of the fliers and applications will also be available in the city clerk's office by Tuesday.

Applicants must be a registered voter for the City of Gilroy to apply. Applications and contact info is available here. All nine positions are listed below.
