Gavilan College’s High on Health Fair

Gavilan College’s annual health & resource fair is open to the public.  During these difficult economic times, Gavilan College is offering these services to anyone in the community regardless of their financial situation.  This event, which regularly draws over 1,500 visitors, is free and open to people of all ages (any of our free tests can be performed on children, as long as a parent or guardian is present).

Over 51 representatives from local organizations such as Planned Parenthood, Chamberlains Mental Health Services, the Department of Rehabilitation, Compassion Pregnancy Services and STD Clinic, Breast Cancer Connections, and Community Solutions will be in attendance.  Visitors will have an opportunity to speak with each representative.

Visitors can also get referrals for counseling, and be tested for blood pressure, blood glucose, HIV/AIDS (which is confidential and involves no needles).  The Gilroy Lions Club will also be offering free vision screenings by a licensed optometrist.
