Summer Playground Program Begins

It's not too late to sign up your kid for a summer of activity.

Gilroy’s Summer Playground Program kicks off today, but it’s not too late to sign up your child for a week of activity (or all seven) this summer.

The program, which runs daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., is available to kindergarten–fifth graders and can cost as little as $50 for the whole summer if certain income requirements are met. The cost is $75 a week for other applicants.

Participants will take part in various activities, including excursions, games, sports and cooking.

The program is available at A, , and Elementary schools, with free lunch offered at Glen View and Antonio del Buono.
