Upward Sports of Gilroy will host a local competition for the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick on Saturday,August 13th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, at El Roble School Fields, 930 3rd Street, Gilroy. The competition is open to all boys and girls ages 6 to 15 and is FREE. Five (5) separate age groups for each boys' and girls' Divisions. A "Certificate of Excellence" will be awarded to every participant. 1st-2nd & 3rd place prizes in each group, and the winners move up to the Sectionals, then perhaps the Sectional Championship at a San Francisco 49er game and the grand finals at an NFL Championship game. The winner of this competition in each age division, boys and girls, will advance to the Sectional Finals and hopefully to the Nationals. There is no charge for entry, and each entrant is allowed one pass, punt, and kick. Rules are on www.nflppk.com. Children may sign up online at nflppk.com (click “Find a Competition”, then put in zip code 95020 and click “El Roble School”), or they can sign-up that morning.
