Gilroy Police Officers searched the area of Gilroy High School last week after a 15-year-old girl reported being harassed by a man who had driven by.
On Jan. 30, the man drove by the school, rolled down his window and asked the girl for her name. The girl ignored the man, but did not report it to police until two days later.
Sgt. Pedro Espinoza said the man, who drove a silver PT Cruiser, is described as Hispanic, in his late 20s, five-feet-ten-inches, with black hair and blue eyes.
"The girl said he was nicely dressed and looked like a nice person," Espinoza said.
The encounter was the first time the girl had ever seen the man.
