Jonas Blixt won the Frys.com Open on Sunday for his first PGA Tour title after he sunk a 4-foot par putt on the final hole at CordeValle in San Martin. He finished the day with a 68 and was victorious at 16 under for the entire tournament.
According to ESPN.com, Blixt is the third PGA Tour rookie to win this season and took home a purse of $900,000 along with a tour exemption through the 2014 season.
Not far behind Blixt was Tim Petrovic and Jason Kokrak in second place. Petrovic had a 64, and Kokrak shot a 68 on Sunday.
John Mallinger had the lead after three rounds but it slipt away on Sunday and allowed Blixt to gain ground to eventually take the win. Mallinger ended the day with a 72 to tie for fourth at 14 under along with with Jimmy Walker, Vijay Singh and Alexandre Rocha.
