Over the upcoming days, we'll be previewing events, food and must-knows about the event, going down July 27 through 29 at .

While the three aromatic days are chalk full of garlicky goodness, getting to the festival grounds can be an exercise in stress control (good thing garlic is good for high blood pressure).

Zimride, an online ridesharing service that connects drivers with passengers looking to get to the same destination for a small payout, has a page devoted to Garlic Festival goers.

Currently, there are four rides posted going to the festival, and one to Gilroy, leaving from locations like San Jose and San Francisco, over the course of the festival days. All but one are round trips. For as little as $5 a seat, you can hop in a car, meet some new friends and get to the park without spending your garlic fry money on gas.

Even if you're just leaving from your Gilroy home, you can arrange a carpool to help fellow Gilroyans get to the festival while picking up some gas fare on the way.

Locals, remember you can take that feed into Christmas Hill Park.
