The temporary location of the Gilroy Public Library may be small, but the 9,000-square-foot space packs in a range of services to compliment its 140,000-item collection. Visitors can surf the Web, research their ancestry, rent music players and participate in one of the library's many programs. Head librarian Lani Yoshimura has been helping Gilroy residents navigate the stacks since 1975, and she'd be the first to tell you how a modern library can offer a lot more than just books.
