Definitely Café 152 Burger Co. Great 1/3 pound signature burgers including the Baja Burger,Read More Mushroom Burger and more. Great condiments including chipotle catsup. Soooooooo good.

Exactly Who Cares? The Morgan Hill Chipotle is the worst! Undercooked chicken two times and thenRead More they ran out of chips! Really? Boo! To the Morgan Hill Chipotle!

Who cares? Chipotle has decided to snub the Boy Scouts of America in order to pressure them intoRead More accepting openly gay members and leaders. I have decided to boycott Chipotle permanently, and if you care about traditional values, you may want to consider doing so as well.

This is not surprising at all since Caltrain has left a 1 hour and 37 minute gap in the eveningRead More commute home. First train arrives in Gilroy at 5:30 pm, and the second train comes in at 7:07 pm. If you get off work at 5:00 pm you have to wait an hour or more for the first option to commute home. Not to shocking that most people don't want to waste their lives waiting for a train. This has been the case since 2004 when Caltrain introduced the baby bullet service, and pretty much stated that they care nothing about south of Tamien riders.

Interesting. I currently live in Gilroy and commute to Salinas every day. Its about 45 minutesRead More door to door. I am interested in getting a job in San Jose and wondering what my commute would be then. I know it's less in miles but with traffic I'm afriad it'll be longer.

Good reporting, wait for the facts. Can not stop every act of stupidity.

Exactly AT&T is too cheap to lay redundant fiber lines to prevent this from happening a thirdRead More time but meanwhile they still raise our monthly bills by at least 10% each and every year.
Phil Cooper April 17, 2013 at 11:40 am
Why would anyone here want lines to Monterrey? That's in the state of Nuevo León, Mexico.

Who the "f' cares?? The refinery can process that crude oil without creating an air emissionsRead More problem. But, believe it or not, receiving crude oil by rail is a smart move by Valero. Not all the oil is going to be from Alberta. Some is likely to be from the Permian Basin in Texas, the Bakken in North Dakota and even from the Niobrbra shale play in Colorado. With all these options so they can get the best price.

That's a great ides Michael. We moved here two years ago and have 3 kids. I'd love a nice downtownRead More to shop at and explore with my kids! Someplace where there are family friendly places and then some upscale stuff too. I really hope they listen to what people want. Do they need people to show up, write letters, whatever to get the word out there that we want a nicer down town area?

Gilroy missed a chance to put a movie theater downtown. The amount of people would have helped anyRead More and all business downtown. Maybe a Small satellite Movie theater showing the New movie for the weekend.

I think a nice facelift to downtown would be great. But don't forget the mom and pops stores andRead More restaurants. I am a gilroy native now living in the valley I miss my old hometown. I think it should be more family friendly things to attract kids as well as adults. I think od's kitchen should move to a bigger place cause in my opinion nobody should come to gilroy and not stop there for breakfast. I really do think a facelift and family friendly shopping and attractions is what downtown gilroy needs.

I think the two important structures needed in Downtown Gilroy is parking (which I heard isRead More currently in the works) and some sort of urban park for children. These two things I believe will create better traffic for businesses & future businesses to come. I also think it would be great to have some sort of a Cultural event for families! Eateries should be well prepared for large crowds and give excellent service that will draw customers back again for more! Also what about trying to do more live music? I could see doing every 3rd Thursday of the month. Featuring a variety of different music!

Gilroy could be as beautiful and prosperous as Napa, a destination get-a-way with great wines andRead More food. I'm visualizing.... Are you?
Kim Lozanot April 28, 2013 at 01:17 pm
I have no idea what establishment some of these people visited, but it couldn't have been The OldRead More City Hall in Gilroy. I agree that the building is amazing. I wish someone would actually open a decent business in the building because there is so much potential. Unfortunately, the owner now is not the one. I went there and it was horrible. So hot that people were "sweating" into their food. The owner was rude and the food was well below par. The staff was working hard, but they were apologetic. I tipped them well because I felt sorry they had to work there and they were doing the best they could. I don't expect them to last long in business there and I won't support them. Imagine being a "guest" and being told to "F" off by the owner..........no professional behavior.

Love the French dip sandwich with coleslaw. Calamari is tender. So happy to have another optionRead More for downtown dining. The food, venue, and owners are great! Can't wait for outside dining to open. And where else do you have to go to jail to use the ladies room?
Susan Patereau March 6, 2013 at 08:35 pm
Great food at great prices. My two favorites are the Roasted Beet Salad which has the tasty deepRead More fried cheese chunk as a special treat, and the Baked Potato Soup, so homemade good. The bread basket is always warm and delicious. The menu is made up of not-so-ordinary dishes - I really like that. The atmosphere, of course, is unique. Overall, it's a great dining experience.

Over the long time, "Silicon Valley" has poured money into the National Parks throughRead More donations and other forms of gifts- the people of the area should not think of themselves as owing the National Park Service ANYTHING! The area's National Parks have been weak financially since their individual starts. I helped start and build the area National Parks but now realize that they are a burden to the local people and the nation's taxpayers.
