Wednesday, Sept. 4
ID Theft: Someone used a stolen Social Security number to buy a cell phone at Verizon.
Vandalism: Two vehicles were vandalized and one burglarized on Rosanna Street. It was reported at 7:30 a.m.
Fraud: Stolen personal information was used to open two Comcast cable accounts.
Car Burglary: A vehicle parked on Monte Bello Drive was broken into overnight. Nothing was taken.
Tuesday, Sept. 3
Theft: A burglar broke into a laundry room on the 800 block of El Cerrito Way, then used a torch and pry tool to remove the coin box. Earlier in the week, a man used a torch to open a candy vending machine. Later, a 40-year-old man was arrested for the vending machine break-in.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle: A stolen car was found on East Las Animas Avenue and Murray Avenue just before 11 p.m.
Minor in Possession of Alcohol: A teen was cited for having alcohol at Christopher High School around 11:25 a.m.
Stolen Vehicle: A man's 1987 red Toyota 4Runner was stolen from in front of his Fifth Street house.
Recovered Vehicle: A stolen car was found on Travel Park Circle. It had the wrong VIN plate and two incorrect license plates.
Monday, Sept. 2
Burglary: A thief tried to pry open a garage door on Westwood Drive around 12:40 a.m. but was scared away before he got in.
Assault: A man was punched in the face in front of his home just after midnight. The attacker got away.
Car Break-In: Electronics were stolen from a Jeep on Arroyo Circle around 12:15 p.m. The thief smashed a window.
Car Break-In: A man smashed a window on a red Ford SUV parked at the Outlets and stole a suitcase before fleeing.
Assault: Two men assaulted another man at the Super Taqueria. The victim suffered a broken nose. It happened around 2:30 p.m.
Burglary: A thief smashed the front glass door of a business on Wayland Lane and used bolt cutters to get through an inside metal gate around 1:45 a.m., but fled before taking anything.
Sunday, Sept. 1
Car Theft: A vehicle was stolen from a parking lot at the Outlets.
Counterfeiting: Someone used 10 counterfeit $20 bills to purchase and iPod Touch at the Outlets.
